My client, a growing Commercial Insurance Broker, in Morley, Leeds has exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join their claims team.
You will ensure an accurate, efficient, professional, and a market leading claims service is provided to our Clients and Insurers in accordance with their needs and requirements. Whilst providing support to the Claims Director / Directors where required.
Principal Responsibilities:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Claims Handler, based in Leeds. The Claims Handler will be responsible for managing and processing insurance claims, handling client communications, and ensuring timely resolution of claims. Daily tasks include evaluating insurance claims, liaising with clients, updating records, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure a high standard of service. The role demands an organised, detail-oriented professional committed to providing exceptional customer support.
· You will manage primarily EL/PL (Liability), Property, EPL along with Motor claims where required ensuring service standards are met and/or exceeded,
· You will conduct desktop investigations into policy and legal liability to ensure the correct outcome for clients.
· You will attend site visits where required to conduct onsite investigations to assist with presentation to insurers.
· You will keep an efficient diary system for all claims, ensuring claims are chased as required,
· You will develop and maintain a full understanding of Acturis,
· You will provide the broking department and clients with claims information and reports as required,
· You will ensure complex claims are handled as per the company procedures,
· You will acknowledge all new claims to both clients and insurers and keep clients informed, and ensure best outcome on each claim,
· You will produce claims MI/claims reports when required,
· You will meet with clients and present claims information when required,
· You will undertake any other duties as requested by management on an ad-hoc basis,
· You will ensure personal CPD is managed and kept up to date by keeping skills and knowledge current.

· You will have robust property, and liability insurance claims handling experience, coupled with strong commercial awareness and full understanding of insurance claims procedures,
· Thorough knowledge of current case law, common law/statutes, and regulations.
· Strong investigation skills and attention to detail.
· Good understanding of insurance law and policy wording interpretation.
· Knowledge of contract, statute, and civil liability.
· You will be passionate about the delivery of exceptional customer service experience, applying TCF and KYC methodologies,
· Acturis system knowledge (desirable not essential), being able to use MS Excel, MS word and Outlook,
· You will be cert CII, Cert CILA, or working towards this or similar,
· You will be highly organised and have great time management,
· You will have a positive ‘can do attitude’ and will be a natural problem solver, multi-tasker, along with a high level of attention to detail,
· You will have excellent communication skills both verbally and written

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for helping clients find, lease, or buy a property. Tasked to grow company customer base by generating leads, counseling clients on market conditions, and developing competitive market prices. In charge of creating and presenting property offers and details to the prospected clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Build good client relations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
· Obtain agreements from property owners to place properties for sale/lease.
· Generate lists of properties for sale/lease, their locations, and descriptions.
· Monitor fulfillment of purchase contract terms to ensure that they are handled in a timely manner.
· Complete regular CMA’s (Comparative Market Analysis) to have a clear market understanding and offer accurate valuations.
· Act as an intermediary in negotiations between buyers/sellers or landlord/tenants over property prices and settlement details, and during the closing of sales/leases.
· Maintain superior knowledge of the real estate regulations, laws, type of available mortgage, and local economies.
· Follow through the process for a property for sale/lease to completion.
· Develop and maintain existing client portfolio.
· Ensure all tenancy/sales contracts are drafted and checked.
· Ensure signboards are actively placed on the property for sale/lease.
· Participate in any networking events that will bring in business to Hunt & Harris Real Estate.
· Ensure all closed files are completed accurately with all documents in place and ready for commission payment.
· Ensure compliance with the soft skills training as required by the Management – Make it happen – LinkedIn.
· Complying with the Weekly Statistic Sheet.
